Battery Inverter and Battery (stand-alone)

Page Battery Inverter and Battery

Here, select a battery inverter and batteries and define their use in functional units of Sunny Island inverters and batteries.

Use the tree in the left-hand part of the window to control the display in the main window.

System configuration

  1. Click the Select, button to let the program calculate possible battery inverter configurations.

  2. First, let the program calculate all possible battery inverter configurations via Start Search, and then select one.

  3. Move on to the next page >> to select a battery.

  4. Via Select, determine which batteries should be included in the search.

  5. Select a Period of Autonomy in days.

  6. Via Configuration Period, select the month and its average solar radiation yield which will be used to calculate the period of autonomy.

  7. Click on the Start Search button to start the automatic configuration of the batteries using the selected parameters.
The number of batteries and their number in series is set.
The maximum discharge is assumed to be 20%.

  8. All possible configurations are listed
The number of power inverters is determined by comparing the peak power consumption with the one-hour power of the battery inverter:
The peak consumption must be less than or equal to the AC power for 60 min. This can be found in the battery inverter performance values, Output sizes page.

  9. Choose a configuration and then leave the dialog by clicking OK.

Multicluster Box

A multicluster box must be used for systems with several units of battery inverters and batteries. The minimum size is suggested automatically.

Units of Sunny Island inverters and batteries

The separate units of Sunny Island inverters and batteries are shown in the tree.

You can enter the number of Sunny Island inverters and batteries in the tree. Use the battery energy [kWh] and battery voltage [V] bar charts to visually check that your desired cluster configuration is within permissible ranges.

The battery back voltage must conform to the nom. DC voltage of the battery inverters. The number of batteries in series is set here.

Information

The control bars show whether the design is within permissible ranges.
